My career in Family Law has shown me how much relationships and family really matter. Whether dealing with a relationship breakdown, or creating agreements to support a relationship, every situation is unique; nothing is average. Relationships and family really matter. Particularly where there are children, a relationship may break down, but the family will continue. Therefore I make sure that our approach to dealing with families and relationships is personal, sensitive and constructive, so that we can ensure the best possible outcome with the minimum pain and disruption. To me that matters most.
Practical solutions to relationship breakdown
When a relationship breaks down, The Head Partnership provides practical solutions concerning the relationship and the finances. This helps both parties to move on with minimum animosity. We also try to prevent relationship breakdowns or at least make them easier by providing services that cover pre-nuptial agreements, co-habitation agreements, collaboration and mediation.
When relationship breakdowns involve children, we help partners continue a relationship, albeit a different one from before.
Every case we deal with at The Head Partnership is handled by a highly qualified lawyer and member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). Many of our lawyers are Collaborative Lawyers, Mediators and Members of the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation Scheme and Children Law Accreditation Scheme.
With this on-going commitment to the provision of a comprehensive and professional service, helping matters be resolved fairly and with the minimum of fuss, we have seen our team grow from one solicitor in 1998, to a team of 9 lawyers across two offices in Reading and Henley on Thames. We are now the largest team of Resolution lawyers in the region, and one of the largest teams of Collaborative Lawyers in the country. Our size gives you the choice of being represented by lawyers with different areas of specialism, seniority and personality.
Our relationship services
Our relationship services are available in three different formats – choose the one that suits you best.
If you’re in a low income household with modest savings, and miss out on Legal Aid, we can subsidise our normal fees (subject to application and assessment). This means that if you’re accepted at our discretion you get the advice and assistance you need, at a more affordable rate.
If you want to benefit from the skills, the expertise and the understanding we’ve built up over the years, this level of service gives you the action, advice and support you need at competitive fee rates.
If you require a higher level of service and support, we’ll give you around the clock advice and assistance. You’ll have mobile telephone access to the lawyer handling your case, seven days a week, from dawn ’til dusk, by telephone or email. When face-to-face meetings are needed, these will be arranged at a time to suit you, outside of normal working hours, if you require.
We are determined to provide the help and support that YOU want, whether that means project managing your case from start to finish, or providing ad hoc advice and support as and when required in relation to a case you may be conducting yourself. We will only charge for what we do, and you can dictate how much we do.
