Sarah Imrie works in the conveyancing team at the Lower Earley office.

1 What is your role at The Head Partnership?

I work in the Conveyancing Department as a Conveyancing Executive and deal with all aspects of buying and selling property, as well as remortgaging and transfers of equity.

2 What do you like about The Head Partnership?

I have worked at The Head Partnership for 9 years and whilst I have seen a few changes during this time, the ethos of the firm has always been “we are in it together”. No matter what your role in the firm, you always feel you have the support of the partners and each other.

3 What gives you the most satisfaction about your job?

When the transaction you are working on reaches completion and the clients says “thank you for all you have done”, thank you says it all really.

4 Tell us something about the law we don’t know

If a married or unmarried couple die together in an accident and it is impossible to determine who died first, the oldest is always treated as being the first to die. If the couple are married without children, and haven’t made wills, their joint property passes to the family of the youngest.

5 Which colleague would you like to trade places with for a day?

Angela. She is the financial backbone of the company and makes sure that everything is up to date and paid on time. She also deals with the transfer of all funds via the electronic banking system for completions.

6 If you were invisible for a day, what would you do?

I would sit on a really juicy murder trial at one of the top courts in the country.

7 What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Sitting and reading my favorite book without any interruptions

8 Which living person do you most admire?

Ellie Simmons, who swan for team GB at the Paralympics. She showed that whatever life throws at you, you can still achieve your goals and fulfill your dreams if you have enough determination to do so.

9 Describe yourself in three words

Warm, caring and hard working
